Birth22 Mar 1804 Hannah Moffett was born on 22 Mar 1804 in Abingdon, Washington County, Virginia.3 
Marriage10 Nov 1836 She married William Henry Hawk, son of Andrew Hawk and Mary Myers, on 10 Nov 1836 in Washington County.4,5 
Land-Gift30 Dec 1837  In 1837 William and Hannah moved to Hancock County, Indiana where Hannah's father gifted them 2 tracts of land.6,7  
  Mary Jane B. (Davis) Moffett (Hannah's sister-in-law) compiled a journal during the 1870s in which she indicated that Hannah and William had 5 children of whom only 3 survived.8 
Death30 Oct 1843 Hannah died on 30 Oct 1843 in Hancock County, Indiana, at age 39. She had given birth to son John 13 days earlier.9,7 
  Following Hannah's death William Hawk moved to Carroll County, Illinois where 3 of Hannah's brothers lived. William married as his second wife, Margaret Davis. Two of Margaret's sisters were married to 2 of Hannah's brothers. Margaret and William Hawk eventually had 11 children of their own. Margaret also raised Hannah's 3 children, including Robert M.A. Hawk who became a U.S. Congressman from Illinois.
