Birth13 Apr 1810 Catharine Summers was born on 13 Apr 1810 in Kentucky.3 
Marriage3 Oct 1830 She married Wesley Moffett, son of Thomas Moffett and Mary Brown, on 3 Oct 1830 in Wayne County, Indiana.4,2 
Children  Wesley and Catherine had seven children, however not one of the first four survived to reach their 4th birthday. Two, Mary and Martha, died within a month of each other in the fall of 1835, suggesting perhaps a contagious childhood illness struck the young family. 
Cens-185010 Sep 1850  The 1850 census for Rush County recorded Wesley and Catherine and their 3 surviving children: Ferdinand (12), Isabel (9) and John H. (7). The adjacent household was headed by William Moffett [Wesley's cousin].5 
Migration1855 Catharine and Wesley moved to Hancock County, Indiana, in 1855. 
Migration1857 Two years later they moved to Woodson County in the Kansas Territory and settled in the northwest corner of the county, about 12 miles from Leroy and about 12 miles from Burlington.6 
Description Catherine's great grandson, Willard Moffett, stated that she was Dutch and had only one leg.7 
Death14 Sep 1862 Catharine died on 14 Sep 1862, probably in Woodson County.8
