Cens-186016 Jul 1860 Following their marriage in 1859 Jacob and Sarah provided a home for his niece and nephew, Sarah Elizabeth McConnell and David Campbell McConnell.6 
 In the next 3 years the couple would have 2 children of their own, but in the fall of 1863 Jacob died at the age of 28. Sarah took her 2 young children and returned to her parent's home in Missouri.7 
Death2 Oct 1863 Jacob died on 2 Oct 1863 at age 28.3 
Burial He was buried at Sinking Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.3
