Marriage6 Oct 1884 She married John Edwin Day on 6 Oct 1884 in Wise County, Texas.1 
Cens-19005 Jun 1900  John and Hattie were enumerated in Runnels Co., Texas at the turn of the century. They had moved there from Ft. Worth in 1897. John's census entry stated he was employed as a mechanical engineer. The couple's 14 year old daughter Cordelia attended school. Hattie's entry indicated that she had given birth to a second child who was no longer living.4,5 
Cens-191020 Apr 1910  The household make-up remained the same 10 years later when the family was again recorded. John had taken on the position of county tax assessor.6 
  He was also actively involved in the cotton industry.7 
  John and Hattie suffered the tragic loss of their surviving child in Feb. 1911 when daughter Cordelia died after her clothes caught fire. 
Death28 Apr 1934 Hattie died on 28 Apr 1934 in Ballinger, Runnells County, Texas, at age 71.3 
Burial She was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.8
