Will | 21 Nov 1847 | Mitchell Robinson wrote his will on Nov. 21, 1847. He left the bulk of his land to his wife Rachel (during her lifetime) and then to his daughter Jane. Mitchell carved out two small parcels adjacent to the river: grandson Mitchell Wesley Pafford received 10 acres from the southwest corner of the tract (his mother Rachel Robinson Pafford to have the use of the land), and grandson Mitchell Glenn Barlow received 10 acres from the southeast corner (his mother Sarah Robinson Barlow to have the use of the land). Mitchell's son John received $100. Sons Moses E., Alexander, and Edward C. were each allowed $5. Daughter Elizabeth Loyd received $1 and grandson Mitchell Loyd $4.12 |
