Birth1 Aug 1818 Sarah Robinson was born on 1 Aug 1818 in Washington County, Virginia.2 
Marriage10 Nov 1841 She married Joseph Barlow on 10 Nov 1841 in Washington County.3 
Devisee21 Nov 1847  Sarah's father wrote his will in the fall of 1847. He left Sarah a share of the household furniture. Joseph was to receive half the farming tools after the death of Sarah's mother. Mitchell Robinson also left Joseph and Sarah's son Mitchell Glen Barlow a 10 acre parcel of land from the southeast corner of the older man's property. Sarah was to have the use of this land.1 
Cens-185023 Aug 1850  The 1850 census listed Joseph and Sarah, along with son James (8), Mitchell (6), Samuel (4) and Rachel (1) living in Washington County adjacent to Sarah's widowed mother. Sarah's sister Rachel and her husband Jesse Pafford lived close by. Their young son Mitchell Pafford had also been left a 10 acre tract of land in Mitchell Robinson's will.4 
Cens-186011 Jul 1860  The same cluster of families were enumerated near each other in 1860, suggesting they were all residing on the old Mitchell Robinson lands on the north side of the Middle Fork of the Holston River.5 
Land-Sell11 Dec 1867  A few years later, following the death of Sarah's sister Jane, who had inherited the majority of the land, Joseph and Sarah conveyed their 1/6th interest in the "Ebbing and Flowing Spring Farm" to William H. Price for $250. They also conveyed Sarah's life interest in the 10 acres willed to Mitchell Barlow.6 
  Two months earlier Mitchell Barlow had sold his 10 acres to William Price for $500. Mitchell lived in Henderson Co., Illinois.7 
Migration1869 In 1869 Sarah and Joseph also left Virginia and migrated west to Illinois.8 
Death1 Apr 1886 Sarah died on 1 Apr 1886 in Fountain Green, Hancock County, Illinois, from an abscess of the liver.9

The register also noted that Sarah was born in Washington Co., Virginia.
