Marriage7 Dec 1797 She married Mitchell Robinson, son of John Robinson, on 7 Dec 1797 in Washington County, Virginia.5,6 
  In the fall of 1799 Mitchell bought 100 acres of land from David and Isabella Robinson for £45. They sold the land to James Robinson for £100 in 1806.7,8 
Land-Gift16 Nov 1816 On 16 Nov 1816 Mitchell's father sold him 102 acres in Rockbridge Co., Virginia for $1 and love and affection. Mitchell and Rachel sold the land in 1818.9,10 
  Rachel and Mitchell spent the later years of their married life on a tract of land on the north side of the Middle Fork of the Holston River just east of present day Prices Bridge Rd. The property had originally belonged to the Ebbing Spring congregation who built a church on the site around the time of the Revolutionary War. The old Ebbing Spring graveyard sat on the land.11 
  Mitchell's will, written shortly before his death in 1847, left the couple's land to Rachel (during her lifetime) and then to his daughter Jane. He also carved out two 10 acre parcels for grandsons Mitchell Barlow and Mitchell Pafford.12 
Cens-185023 Aug 1850  The 1850 census enumerated 75 year old Rachel as the head of a household that included her 45 year old daughter Jane and several members of the Lester family. Rachel owned land valued at $1,500. Nearby households included the families of Rachel's daughter Sarah Barlow, and daughter Rachel Pafford.3 
Cens-186011 Jul 1860  The two families were again enumerated adjacent to Rachel and Jane in 1860.4 
DeathOct 1863 Rachel died in Oct 1863.13 
  Rachel's burial location is unknown although it is likely she was buried at the old Ebbing Spring graveyard on the family land.
