Will | 12 Apr 1806 | Moses wrote his will on April 12, 1806. He left his wife Rachel the land on which they were living; at her death it was to go to son Moses. Moses also left Rachel a Negro girl Rose and a Negro woman named Polly. Son John received a mare, as did son Moses. John also received a Negro boy named Ned. Moses left son David the land on which David lived and son William 40 shillings worth of property. Four of Moses' 5 daughters also each received 40 shillings in property: Hanah, Geon [Jean/Jane], Elizabeth and Rachel. Daughter Nancy received $10 worth of property. Moses appointed David Edmonson and John Edmondson as his executors. The will was witnessed by David Robinson and James Robinson.1 |
