Birth23 Nov 1833 William Talbert Horne was born on 23 Nov 1833 in Virginia.2 
Childhood  William grew up in his parent's inn on the old Stage Rd. in Washington County. As a child, William must have helped with the daily chores on the farm that surrounded the inn. Or perhaps he helped care for the needs of the stagecoach travelers who stopped along their journey. 
Marriage1 Jul 1858 He married Ann Elizabeth Gose, daughter of George Gose and Mary Scott, on 1 Jul 1858 in Smyth County, Virginia.3,4 
  William and Ann lived at the inn with William's parents. There they raised 4 daughters and 1 son. William's only sibling died in 1862 during the Civil War.5,6 
Death30 Jan 1873 William died on 30 Jan 1873 at age 39.2 
Burial He was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County.2 
  Ann outlived William by over 50 years. She continued to run the farm with her daughter Elizabeth and son William. In 1882 the land was divided among William and Ann's children, but the resulting deed was not recorded until 1911.
