BirthSep 1861 Mary Virginia Horne was born in Washington County, Virginia, in Sep 1861 according to the 1900 census, although her headstone simply states "1860."2,3,4 
Childhood  Mary grew up in her paternal grandparent's home on the Old Wagon Road which ran through Washington County. The home was a stage coach inn for many years. Mary's father died in 1873; both of her grandparents also died in the 1870s. Mary's mother continued to run the inn which stayed in the Horne family for many more years. Mary inherited 83 acres of her grandfather Isaac Horne's land when it was partitioned in 1882.5,6,7 
Marriage13 Oct 1881 She married Joseph Davis Williams, son of William Wesley Williams and Mariah Elizabeth Hagy, on 13 Oct 1881 in Washington County, Virginia.2 
Cens-19005 Jun 1900 Eighteen years after their marriage Mollie and Joseph were enumerated living in Washington County, Virginia. Mollie was reported to be the mother of four children all of whom were enumerated in the household. Joseph's daughter from his first marriage, Maggie, was also living with them as was Joseph's sister and brother-in-law.4 
Death1909 Mary died in 1909.8,3 
Burial She was buried in the Williams square at Old Baptist Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.3
