Birth24 Feb 1881 Adda Pearl Mershon was born on 24 Feb 1881 in Iowa.1 
  Adda grew up with 7 siblings in Des Moines, Iowa. Following their parents death Adda and several of her siblings continued to live together. By 1930 Adda owned her own home at 1242 30th St. in Des Moines which she shared with her brother Forest and her sister Elsie who was divorced and the mother of 3 children. Both Adda and Elsie were public school teachers.

A few years before her death Adda left Iowa and moved to California. She may have moved west to live with or be near her nephew Francis Fitzpatrick, Elsie's son. Francis reported the information recorded on Adda's death certificate.4,5 
Death6 Aug 1953 Adda died on 6 Aug 1953 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, at age 72.1 
Burial10 Aug 1953 She was buried on 10 Aug 1953 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California.1
