Birth15 Aug 1815 Margaret Long Redshaw was born on 15 Aug 1815.3 
Marriage She married Moses Snodgrass, son of John Snodgrass and Margaret Hutton.1 
Widowed3 Mar 1850  Moses died on March 3, 1850. His will left Margaret a share of his estate and instructed her to provide an education for their 5 children.4 
Cens-18509 Sep 1850  A few months later Margaret was enumerated as the head of her household on the 1850 Washington Co., Virginia census. The family included her 5 daughters: Pheby (13), Margaret (10), Mary (8), Elizabeth (6) and Sally (2).5 
  Phoebe married Samuel Larimer in 1855. 
Cens-18601 Aug 1860  The young couple lived adjacent to Margaret and Phoebe's 4 sisters. In 1860 Margaret's land was valued at $1,500.6 
Cens-187022 Sep 1870  By 1870 Phoebe (Snodgrass) Larimer was also a widow. She was enumerated that year back home with Margaret. The household also included Phoebe's two daughters.7 
Death4 Sep 1893 Margaret died on 4 Sep 1893 at age 78.3 
Burial She was buried at Rock Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.
