Birth27 Apr 1863 Flora A. Hale was born on 27 Apr 1863 in Illinois.2
Marriage She married first James William Curtis Weaver.3
Marriagecirca 1897 She married second William Alexander Durell, son of William Roe Durell and Mary Jane Buchanan, circa 1897.4
They were first cousins as their mothers were sisters. William also had a previous marriage and was already the father of 4 children.
Cens-190022 Jun 1900  In 1900 William and Flora were recorded farming in Morris County, Kansas. They had been married 3 years and were the parents of two year old twins, Eleanor and Donald. William's 14 year old son Oscar was also part of the household as was Flora's 13 year old son Charles Weaver. Flora's age was mistakenly listed as 27 [it should have been 37]; William was 40. The census taker had initially entered "16" for the number of years William had been married, but had crossed it out and written "3."4
Another daughter was added to the family about 1901.
Cens-19104 May 1910  The 1910 census again found the family in Morris County. This enumeration recorded Flora as Laura A., but did report her age as 46.5
Death4 Feb 1925 Flora died from tuberculosis on 4 Feb 1925 in Morris County, Kansas, at age 61.2
Burial6 Feb 1925 She was buried on 6 Feb 1925 at Greenwood Cemetery in Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas.2

Research Comment:

Flora's June 1900 census entry stated she was the mother of 5 children with 4 living. However only 3 children have been identified as having been born to her by that date: Charles Weaver, and twins Eleanor and Donald Durell. Flora's 1910 census stated she was the mother of 6 children with 4 living which reflects the Aug. 1900 birth of daughter Marguerite.

Taken at face value this would suggest Flora had an additional child who was born before June 1900, was living at that time but died before May 1910. Given the unreliability of other data for Flora on these two records it is difficult to draw conclusions, but it would appear Flora may have had 1 or 2 other children who died prior to 1910.
