- [S2390] William R. Wheeler, Minister's Returns 1785-1832 Washington Co., Virginia Vol. 1A, p. 20-21. The John Hutton to Maryann Cunningham marriage was entered on Rev. Nicholas Reagan's first list of marriages submitted to the Washington County Clerks on June 17, 1794. None of the almost 100 marriages on the list were dated. Therefore it is impossible to determine when John and Maryann married from this record. Rev. Reagan was licensed to perform marriages in April 1788. The second list he submitted to the clerk included marriages beginning 3 April 1794. Therefore marriages on the first list probably occured between those two dates.
