  James's brother Lysander married Nora's sister, Etta. And James and Lysander's cousin, Margaret Wilson Crenshaw, married Floyd Hockett, brother of Nora and Etta. 
Cens-Sum  Nora and James raised their family on a farm in the Saltville District of Washington County. The 1920 census listed the address as Meadow View Road. By 1920 son Leslie had married; he and his wife Mabel were also enumerated in the household that year.7,8,9 
Cens-19307 Apr 1930  By 1930, James, though still living on the farm, listed his occupation as "rural mail carrier". The older children, including Leslie and his wife, were no longer living at home; only 18 year old James was living with James Sr. and Nora.10 
  The couple's youngest children, twin sons born in 1915, both died in infancy. James was one of the many descendants of John Buchanan and Ann Ryburn to have twins. 
Death1952 Nora died in 1952.4 
Burial She was buried at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.4
