Birth1881 Mittie A. Nunley was born in 1881 in Washington County, Virginia.2 
Marriage28 Apr 1908 She married Patrick Ryburn, son of Col. William S. Ryburn and Rebecca Jane McCall, on 28 Apr 1908 in Washington County.1 
Cens-191019 Apr 1910 In 1910 Patrick and Mittie lived in the Saltville district of Washington County. The census states that they had been married one year. Also recorded with them was their daughter, Manda O. who was one year and one month old.3 
Cens-19202 Jan 1920  Ten years later the family had grown to include four daughters: Amanda, Annie, Susie and Mary. When the census was recorded that year Patrick was seventy and Mittie was thirty-seven.4 
Widowed1924 Patrick's death in 1924 left Mittie a widow in her early 40s with 4 young daughters. His will, written soon after they married, left Mittie the farm and Patrick's personal estate.5 
Cens-19302 Apr 1930  The 1930 census record suggests Mittie continued to run the farm herself. Two of her daughters were also still at home: Susie [erroneously recorded as Manda] and Mary.6 
Death1958 Mittie died in 1958.2 
Burial She was buried at Mountain View Baptist Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.2
