Marriagecirca 1837 She married Moses Edmondson circa 1837.4
Cens-18507 Sep 1850  The official census date in 1850 was June 1st. Moses died a few days later. However, following the census guidelines, the enumerator, when he reached Louisa's home in early September, recorded the household as it stood on June 1st. Therefore Moses was recorded at age 42, along with Lousia and two children: 12 year old Andrew and 10 year old Sarah. Andrew Kelly [Louisa's father] was also part of the household.5
Cens-18603 Aug 1860  Louisa's father most likely remained with her after Moses' death. Andrew Kelly died in May 1860, just prior to the 1860 enumeration. Louisa was recorded with [her children] Andrew, 22 and Sarah 20. She owned land worth almost $5,000 and personal property worth $2,500.6
Cens-1860- Slave16 Aug 1860  This reflected the fact that she was the owner of 2 slaves.7
In 1861 Louisa's daughter Sarah Jane married Samuel Kelly Rambo. Lousia continued to make her home with her son Andrew. Sarah and her family lived nearby in the Holston District of Washington County. Sarah's daughter Martha may have lived with Andrew and Louisa as she was enumerated with them in both 1880 and 1900.8,9
