Marriage11 May 1864 She married Charles Francis Lincoln on 11 May 1864 in Washington County.6 
  Charles was a widower whose first wife Martha, died in Nov. 1862, five days after giving birth to an infant son who survived his mother by 10 days. 
Cens-188017 Jun 1880 Charles and Harriet were enumerated in Marion, Smyth County, Virginia, in June 1880. Charles was employed as the manager of an agricultural enterprise. Two children from Charles's first marriage were present as were 2 sons and 3 daughters born to Charles and Harriet.7 
ChildDeathJun 1876  An additional son, George Montgomery, was born in January 1876 and died that June. 
Widowed13 Oct 1891  Harriet was widowed in the fall of 1891. 
Cens-19008 Jun 1900  In 1900 she was enumerated living in the city of Marion with her son W.L. and his wife Annie. Harriet's daughter Hattie was also a member of the household. Harriet reported that she was the mother of 6 children, 5 of whom were living.8 
Death27 Apr 1917 Harriet died on 27 Apr 1917 at age 85.9 
Burial She was buried at Round Hill Cemetery in Smyth County, Virginia.10

  4. [S709] Peter Clark will (recorded 1880), Washington Co., Virginia Will Book 20: 334. The will was dated 4 Nov. 1873 with a codicil added 2 March 1878. It was first produced in court on 26 Jul 1880 on the oath of M. Morriss and J.(or I) Benham. On 27 Sept. 1880 it was again introduced and proven on the oath of James A. Clark, the last witness to the codicil. Thomas Clark, one of the executors declined to qualify. John M. Clark, the other executor, took the oath and entered bond in the amount of $1,000 with James P. Clark and Thomas B. Clark his security.
