Ward27 Jan 1862 Jackson became the ward of Walter Johnson in 27 Jan 1862 in Washington County, Virginia, following the death of Jackson's father and mother.2 
Military  Jackson may have participated in the Civil War although he was only abt 12 at the start of the fighting.5 
Heir24 Dec 1867  Jackson received a share of his father's estate equal to that of his other siblings. However it is difficult to know exactly when the payment was made as it was not dated (range 1863-1867) and was paid to Walter Johnson as Jackson's guardian.1 
Burial He was buried in Old Buchanan Cemetery, Bristol, Virginia, but his date of death is not known at this time.4
