Marriage She married Gardner Grant.3 
Cens-185030 Aug 1850  Gardner and Mary's 1850 census household included 7 children ranging in age from 12 year old John to 2 year old Robert. In addition, a 30 year old male, John C. Grant, was present. He was employed as a merchant.4 
  Two daughters were added to the family during the early 1850s, however daughter Lucinda died in 1858. 
Cens-Sum  Gardner and Mary farmed land in the Abingdon District of Washington County. In 1860 they owned land valued at $4,000 and personal property valued at the same amount. The 1880 census household included son Holland [John P.?] who was a dentist, as well as son Robert and his wife Isabelle.5,6,7 
DeathJul 1888 Mary probably died on the 13th or 15th of Jul 1888 (per headstone readings) although the county death record listed the date as June 10th.8,9 
Burial She was buried at Bethel Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.8
