Name Other  Following the German naming traditions, both she and her sister Elizabeth appear to have been given the name Mary followed by a second, more commonly used name.1

Cens-18502 Sep 1850  Jesse and Margaret lived in Washington County, Virginia, where they were enumerated in the early fall of 1850 with |their children] Levina (8), Mary E. (5), Feliz [Felix, 5] and Ann E. (1).2 
Sep 1854  Tragedy struck in the fall of Sept., 1854 when the couple's 7 year old son Felix and 3 year old daughter Frances died of dysentery within a day of each other. 
Cens-186024 Jul 1860  The 1860 census provided the additional information that Jesse's farm was valued at $1,500 and he owned personal property worth $400. The family was enumerated that year adjacent to Samuel and Ann Wright.3 [Margaret's sister] 
Death1877 Margaret died in 1877.4 
Burial She was buried at Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.5 
  A few years later Jesse and the couple's 4 surviving children moved to Bureau County, Illinois.6
