Birth28 Jul 1855 Albert Milton Bondurant was born on 28 Jul 1855 in Washington County, Virginia.3,2
Name Other  The family called him Milt.1
Marriage17 Jan 1878 He married first Mary Dorcas Maiden, daughter of Rev. Henry Alderson Maiden and Mary Margaret Kelly, on 17 Jan 1878 in Washington County, Virginia.2
Marriage4 Apr 1893 After Mary's death in 1889 Albert Milton Bondurant married second Frances Rebecca Maiden, daughter of John M. Maiden and Charlotte Ann Ritchie, on 4 Apr 1893 in Washington County.4
She was the first cousin of Milt's first wife.
Milt and Mary had had 3 children, 2 of whom died as infants. However, their son Fred survived and was 12 years old when Fanny became his stepmother. She was also his first cousin, once removed.
Cens-19007 Jun 1900  Fannie and Milt did not add children of their own but their household was never empty. Besides Fred, the 1900 census enumeration included Fannie's father and mother, John and Charlotte Maiden, who were 81 and 79, respectively.5
Cens-191019 Apr 1910  Fannie's mother died in 1909 but the 1910 census household still included Fannie's father, then 91. In addition, Fred had married 3 years earlier; he and his wife Mae were also enumerated. Fred was employed as a merchant.6
Fred died in 1918, but his widow and son remained with Milt and Fannie for a few years.
Although the 1900 and 1910 census records list Milt as the head of the household and Fannie's father, John Maiden, as a household member, it is likely the younger couple were actually living in the older man's home, or at the very least on his land. The census lists the location as Maiden Creek Rd. which is the location of the land originally settled by John Maiden's father John Sr. in the 1840s. Furthermore, John Maiden applied for a Civil War pension in 1904 at which time he stated he was living at Shortsville, again the location of the original Maiden lands.7
Death12 Jun 1924 Albert died on 12 Jun 1924 at age 68.3,8
Burial He was buried at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.3
