Birth7 Jul 1832 Isaac Newton Harris was born on 7 Jul 1832 at Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1 
  Isaac was less than 2 years old when his mother died. He spent parts of his childhood living with his aunt, Mary Brierley, on her farm a few miles from Pittsburg. As a young man he moved to Indiana where he lived with his sister Elizabeth and her husband John Moffett in Rushville (Rush County).1,3 
OccupationMay 1860  Isaac studied dentistry in Madison, Indiana and established a dental practice over P. W. Rush's drug store in Rushville in May 1860. Isaac shared the building with Dr. John Moffett but on Dec. 4th, 1860 a fire destroyed the structure, taking with it all their supplies and books.4,1 
Marriage18 Dec 1861 He married Mary Jane Moffett, daughter of William Moffett and Isabella Reed, on 18 Dec 1861 in Rushville, Rush County, Indiana.5 
  The wedding took place in a new farm house located about 2 1/2 miles north of Rushville. It burned to the ground not long afterwards.1,6 
  Mary Jane was the sister of Isaac's friend and business partner, John Moffett. 
  A few years after their marriage Isaac purchased a lot at 220 Perkins Street in Rushville on which he built the couple a home. All of their children except eldest son Larry were born there.1 
Religion10 Feb 1870  He joined the Presbyterian Church on 10 Feb 1870 in Rush County, Indiana.1 
Residence1911  Later in life Isaac and Mary Jane moved to Columbus, Ohio, where their two daughters resided.1 
Death11 Jul 1916 Isaac died of paralysis on 11 Jul 1916 at Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at age 84.1 
Burial13 Jul 1916 He was buried on 13 Jul 1916 at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville, Rush County, Indiana.7,1
