Childhood  Abednego grew up on the farm of his presumed parents, William and Matilda Moore in Washington County where he was enumerated on both the 1860 and 1870 census records.2,5 
  However, he is not mentioned in William's 1875 will and a document left by a family descendant states that Abednego "died young."6,4
