Birth21 Jul 1839 Andrew Kirkham Kelly was born on 21 Jul 1839 in Virginia.4 
Military  During the Civil War Andrew served as the orderly sergeant for Company F. of the 37th Virginia Regiment. He was wounded at Kernstown and suffered through the terrible losses born by the regiment. At the end of the war he was the only able bodied man of the original 85 men in his company and signed surrender papers as their representative at Appomattox.2,5 
Death7 Aug 1909 Andrew died on 7 Aug 1909 at age 70.4 
Burial He was buried at Kelly's Chapel Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.4
