Cens-191018 Apr 1910 Eight years after their marriage John and Annie were enumerated in the town of Erwin with their 3 children: Edith, Albert and Alma. John's 63 year old mother was also living with the couple. John listed his occupation as "general merchandise salesman", a business interest shared by several members of Annie's family.6 
Cens-19208 Jan 1920 By 1920 another 3 sons had been added to the family (Wayne, John and Clyde). This census enumeration described John as a salesman in a grocery store and recorded the family's place of residence as "Nolichuckey Ave."7
  A fifth son would join the family a year later. 
Death28 Dec 1954 Annie died from a stroke on 28 Dec 1954 in Erwin, Unicoi County, at age 74.1,8 
Burial She was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin.3
