Marriage3 Apr 1899 She married Frank A. Buchanan, son of James Nelson Buchanan and Mary C. Alderson, on 3 Apr 1899 in Washington County, Virginia.5 
Cens-19005 Jun 1900  Following their marriage Frank and Blanche lived with Frank's widowed father in the community of Meadowview. The household included several other people including Frank and Blanche's infant son James, Frank's younger sister Martha and his cousin Flora Buchanan. Frank and his father listed their occupation as farmers.6 
  The couple's son James died in 1903. A daughter Virginia was born about 1905. Frank died in 1909. 
Cens-191022 Apr 1910  Blanche continued to make her home with her father-in-law in Meadowview. She was listed as the head of the household in 1910. The household also included Blanche's 5 year old daughter Virginia, her 71 year old widowed mother, her sister Ida and a 30 year old boarder named Philip Stringer.3 
Cens-192012 Jan 1920  However by 1910 Blanche and her sister Ida had moved to 329 9th Street in Bristol [Tennessee] where both women worked in a department store, Blanche as a seamstress and Ida as a saleswoman.7 
Death1925 Mary died in 1925.8 
Burial She was buried at Emory Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.8
