Cens-190013 Jun 1900  George was enumerated in his father's household in the Saltville District of Washington County, Virginia, in June of 1900. He was 19 years old and the eldest of 9 children [one more would be born after the census].3 
Milit-Reg12 Sep 1918  In Sept. 1918 George registered for the World War I draft. At the time he was living in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was employed as an iron worker for the Federal Ship Building Company in New Jersey. George was described by the draft registrar as of medium height and build, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was 38 years old.1 
Cens-19201920  By 1920 he was back in Virginia, again living with his parents in Washington County. His occupation that year was listed as a "machinist" in a shipyard. He was not married.6 
Marriage He married Mabel Hagy, daughter of William David Hagy and Mary Elizabeth Grubb.7,4 
Cens-19301930 At the time of the 1930 census enumeration George and Mabel lived in the Saltville District of Washington County near several other Crenshaw family members. George's age was listed as 49; he was farming. Mabel was 26.8 
Death12 Feb 1941 George died on 12 Feb 1941 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 60.2,9 
Burial He was buried at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.2
