Cens-19006 Jun 1900  Robert and his sister Bettie were living in the household of their aunt and uncle, Whitley and Mary (Ryan) Ryburn in Washington County in 1900. Their mother was living with Robert and Bettie's older sister and her family in Montgomery County. The whereabouts of their father is not known.5 
Migration  Sometime after the 1900 census Robert and Bettie, and their mother, moved to Scioto County, Ohio. 
Cens-19101910 Robert was enumerated on the 1910 census of Portsmouth, Ohio with his mother and sister. He listed his occupation as a train conductor.6 
Cens-19201920 Ten years later he was still single and living at home, although he, his mother, and sister moved to 1822 11th Street. Robert was still working for the railroad.7 
Cens-193017 Apr 1930  Robert's mother died in 1922 following which Robert lived with his cousin Mattie Jordan [daughter of his mother's sister Elizabeth].8 
Marriage11 Feb 1931 He married Rose Clausing on 11 Feb 1931. She was a widow who had been previously married to Frank Dammert who died in 1926.9 
Residence1957 At the time of his death Robert and Rose lived at 3101 Scioto Trail, Portsmouth.10 
Death17 May 1957 Robert died at home on 17 May 1957 at age 75 of pneumonia and other complications.2 
Burial He was buried at Bethel Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.4

It is believed to be from the Portsmouth [Ohio] Times dated 2/11/ 1931. Another article dated 31 Aug. 1909 notes the marriage of Rose Clausing to Frank Dammert and one dated 25 Oct. 1926 notes the death of Frank Dammert.
