Cens-186031 Oct 1860  Ten years later, when the census was again recorded, the same five family members were still present.5 
Cens-18706 Sep 1870  Mary was widowed by the time the 1870 census was recorded. Her son William, his wife, America and her other son, James, were living with her.6 
Death27 Oct 1878 Mary died of heart disease on 27 Oct 1878 in Blue Spring, Smyth County, Virginia, at age 69.7
