Birth25 Nov 1841 George Kelly was born on 25 Nov 1841.1 
Military He enlisted in the Glade Spring Rifles April 25, 1861 (this company was one of the first to leave Abingdon for Richmond, where it joined the 37th Virginia Infantry as Company F). George took part in the following battles: Cedar Run, Kernstown (wounded), Second Winchester and the Battle of Spottsylvania Court House. He was captured there at the "Bloody Angle" and died in the Federal Prison at Fort Delaware in 1864. He is buried there.1,3,4
