  Emory (who seems to have often gone by his middle name) did not marry. He lived with his parents and then in the household of his sister Alice Littleton. Census records suggest that from 1910 through 1930 he worked as a traveling salesman for a shoe company.2,3,4,5,6,1

Burial He was buried at Smyth's Chapel Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.10
