The census record contains a blank line below the family, an unusual finding. Perhaps this reflected the census taker's indecision about whether to list William and Margaret's infant daughter, Adah, who died June 12, 1880, about the time the census taker visited the home.6
Daughter Eleanor, who was recorded in 1880, would die in 1887. Another daughter, Susan, would be born in 1891 and die in 1892.
