BirthNov 1846 Nancy Buchanan Susong was born on either the 5th (headstone) or 6th (death record) of Nov 1846 in Washington County, Virginia.6,7 
Cens-188012 Jun 1880 Nancy was living at home when the 1880 census was reported. She listed her age as 30, which was about 4 years younger than it should have been.2 
Marriage11 Nov 1885 She married William Thomas Delany on 11 Nov 1885 in Washington County, Virginia.8 
12 Nov 1885 She was about 37 and he was 50. 
Devisee Nancy was remembered in the wills of her Uncle Jacob H. Susong who died in 1894, as well as in the will of her sister Lousia who died in the Summer of 1896, and in the will of her father who died in December 1896. Nancy's mother died that same month and although she did not leave a will, Nancy, or "Nannie" as the documents refered to her, was one of her mother's four surviving heirs. When all the estates were settled Nancy inherited almost $10,000 in cash. Louisa had also left her a one third interest in a tract of land near the town of Meadowview known as the William C. Edmondson property.9,5,10,11 
DeathJan 1915 Nancy died in Jan 1915 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 68.7 
Burial She was buried at East Hill Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.6
