Marriage18 Oct 1866 She married John Griffith Rogan Davis, son of James Davis and Nancy Smith, on 18 Oct 1866 in Washington County, Virginia. John's brother James, a Baptist minister, performed the ceremony.1 
Cens-Sum  John and Margaret remained on the Davis homestead where they cared for John's mother and raised a family that included at least 10 children. In 1870 John's land was valued at $3,300; his personal property at $600.5,6 
Death4 Jul 1890 Margaret died from typhoid fever on 4 Jul 1890 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 46. She had already lost two sons to typhoid.4,2,7 
Burial She was buried at Davis Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.4
