Marriage24 Nov 1825 She married Pleasant Carmack, son of John Carmack and Mary Elizabeth (?), on 24 Nov 1825 in Washington County, Virginia.7 
Cens-185021 Sep 1850  In 1850 Hannah and Pleasant were enumerated in Washington County farming land valued at $2,000. Also present was Hannah (18), Mary (16), John (14), Juliett (9).8 
Land  Although enumerated in Virginia, Pleasant and Hannah lived on a tract of land containing approximately 216 acres which sat partly in Washington County, Virginia and partly in Sullivan County Tennessee. Their neighbors included Thomas Carmack and Isaac Gray.9 
Cens-18609 Oct 1860  By 1860 only son John and daughter Juliett were still at home; Hannah (55), who was known to lose her sight about 20 years before her death, was indicated as blind.10 
Cens-1860- Slave1 Oct 1860  The 1860 census also included a slave schedule. Pleasant owned 1 male and 2 female slaves. His property also included a slave house.11 
Widowed16 Jul 1861  John died in July, 1861. His will left the farm to son John but with the express stipulation that Hannah was to have the use of any part of the house she desired and was to be provided clothing, food, and medical care. Pleasant also left her 3 slaves.9 
Cens-18709 Jul 1870  As per the terms of the will, Hannah was enumerated as a member of John's household in 1870, along with his wife and 4 young children. Hannah was again indicated as blind.12 
Death16 Dec 1878 Hannah died on 16 Dec 1878 at Sinking Creek in Washington County, Virginia, at age 73.13
