Birth5 Jul 1841 Margaret Jane Moffett was born on 5 Jul 1841 in Rush County, Indiana.3 
  The early years of Margaret's childhood were spent in Rush County but by 1850 her parents had moved to Carroll County, Illinois. Interestingly Margaret was not enumerated with them on the 1850 census. I have not found her elsewhere so I do not know if she was present and missed by the enumerator, of living elsewhere. Her brother James was also not enumerated. In 1860 they were both listed with their parents in Carroll County.4,5 
Marriage22 Sep 1868 She married Abram Fulkerson Davis, son of Archimedes Davis and Mary V. Fulkerson, on 22 Sep 1868 in Rushville, Rush County, Indiana.2,6 
  They were second cousins, both being grandchildren of John Davis. 
Cens-188025 Jun 1880 In 1880 Margaret and Abram lived in Union, Hardin County, Iowa. The household included 6 unrelated persons who were boarding with the couple. Abram's occupation on the census record is unclear.7 
1907  In 1907 Margaret contributed information to a Moffat family organization. At the time she and Abram lived in Springfield, Missouri. Margaret stated that she had worked as a schoolteacher and as a housekeeper. Abram had farmed and worked as a hydraulic engineer. They did not have children.8 
Cens-191026 Apr 1910  Three years later 65 year old Abram and 68 year old Margaret were enumerated farming in North Campbell township, Springfield, Greene County, Missouri.9 
Death3 Jul 1923 Margaret died of paralysis on 3 Jul 1923 in Oregon County, Missouri, at age 81.3 
Burial She was buried at Redburn Cemetery in Oregon County, Missouri.3
