  John was 37 and Nancy was 18. She was also the daughter of John's brother William Ferguson's wife Sarah (Smith) Ferguson's deceased brother, William Smith. Interestingly Nancy's grandfather Ephraim Smith had previously married John and William Ferguson's sister Jennie Ferguson.5,6,7 
  John and Nancy made their home in the Noble township part of Cass County where John was a farmer. They were the parents of 6 children. 
Death5 Mar 1893 John died on 5 Mar 1893 at age 62.1 
Burial He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana.1
