Although Elisabeth had given birth to the couple's daughter Nancy in late July, the enumerator, following census guidelines, recorded the household as it stood on June 1st, the official census day. Therefore Nancy was not listed in the household.3 
Widowed30 Nov 1850  Elisabeth died a few months later, in Nov. 1850. 
Marriage28 Aug 1851 He married second Ruth Humes on 28 Aug 1851 in Fulton County, Indiana.4 
Death16 Jun 1857 William died on 16 Jun 1857 in Pulaski County, Indiana, at age 29.1 
Burial He was buried at Mull Cemetery in Pulaski County, Indiana.1 
  William's second wife, Ruth, died in late 1859 and is also buried at Mull Cemetery.5
