Marriage5 Jun 1910 He married Mary Virginia Thompson, daughter of William Benjamin Thompson and Iola Graham McCamant, on 5 Jun 1910 in Meridian, Bosque County, Texas.1 
Cens-1920Feb 1920  Amos and "Virgie" (which name Mary seems to have preferred as an adult) lived at Eastland in Eastland County, Texas, in 1920. Amos was employed as an electrician. The couple also provided a home for Virgie's younger sister Iola. Sam Thompson [Virgie and Iola's brother] also lived in the neighborhood.4 
Cens-194018 Apr 1940  Twenty years later Amos and Virgie were enumerated at Amarillo in Potter County, Texas. They had lived at that location since at least 1935. Amos, who had completed 4 years of college, listed his occupation as "electrical contractor". Virgie ran an antique business from their home.5 
Death8 Jun 1969 Amos died on 8 Jun 1969 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo at age 82.2,3,6 
Burial He was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas.3 
  Virgie died 5 months later and was also buried at Memorial Park Cemetery.
