Birth21 Sep 1826 Samuel Buchanan was born on 21 Sep 1826 in Virginia.2 
Cens-Sum  Samuel appears to have been the youngest son in a family that numbered at least 9 children. He was enumerated living at home with his widowed father and unmarried sisters in 1850 and 1860. Samuel was noted to be a farmer on both census entries.3,4 
Death15 Dec 1861 He died of fever on 15 Dec 1861 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 35.1,5
