Marriage She married James L. Cole, son of Peleg Cole and Polly Todd.1 
Cens-Sum  James and Elizabeth lived in the Glade Spring district of Washington County where they raised a family that included 8 children who lived past infancy. In addition, at least two daughters died at birth or shortly after, one in 1854 and one in 1866. A third daughter may have also died shortly after birth (see notes under Infant daughter b. 1854).

James appears to have been a successful farmer, owning land valued at $7-8,000 (1860 and 1870 census valuations). Prior to the Civil War he owned at least 3 slaves.3,4,5,6 
Death27 Jun 1894 Elizabeth died from cancer of the stomach on 27 Jun 1894 in Washington County at age 61.2,7 
Burial She was buried at Moore Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.2
