Birth13 Jul 1828 William Beaty Edmiston Davis was born on 13 Jul 1828 in Washington County, Virginia.1 
Childhood William grew up with his parents and siblings in Washington County, Virginia. His father's death in the spring of 1842 prompted his mother to take her younger children and settle with their older siblings who had already migrated to Carroll County, Illinois. 
Ward7 Sep 1843  In order to faciliate the settlement of his father's estate, William was appointed a guardian the following spring.3 
Death1 Apr 1845 William died of typhoid fever on 1 Apr 1845 at age 16.4,5 
Burial8 Oct 1881 He was reinterred on 8 Oct 1881 in Lanark Cemetery, Lanark, Carroll County, Illinois, having been initially buried at Wolfe Cemetery in the same county.5
