Cens-Sum  Charles and Margaret appear to have lived near the land on Maiden Creek settled in the late 1840s by their mutual grandparents, John and Susanna Maiden. However, following the path established by his father and older brother, Charles was not a farmer. Instead, he found employment as a miller.

Charles and Margaret were the parents of 4 children, one of whom died young. They also provided a home for Margaret's mother and later for Margaret's unmarried half-sister Sarah Butt.9,10
Death2 Sep 1935 Charles died on 2 Sep 1935 at age 84.2
