Washington Co. > Abingdon's wolves
Abingdon was originally known as Wolf Hills. To commemorate this heritage the city is adorned each summer with its own family of wolves. Designed and painted by local residents they are auctioned in the fall as a fundraiser for the group "Advance Abingdon". Many of the paint schemes reflect a sponsoring business. You won't have any trouble spotting the music store, but can you figure out which one belongs to a dentist's office? Photos by Martha Keys.
