LineageSoc1906  In Dec. 1906 Sarah applied for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution based on the service of her ancestor Col. William Edmiston. The application was submitted at Belton in Bell County, Texas. For reasons that remain unclear, Sarah entered her mother's name as Mary Montgomery Edmondson (Gardiner) Coleman. This disagrees with Mary's name as recorded in a family Bible and on other records.1,4
