Cens-1930 | 1930 | By 1930 the household make-up had changed. Sidney's mother was deceased and his father had moved to Oklahoma. In addition, Sidney and Hattie's daughter Tommie had married. She and her husband, John Gunn, lived with Sidney and Hattie. The census noted that Sidney rented a home for $35 a month, it was not a farm, and he owned a radio. John Gunn was employed as a salesman while Sidney continued his medical practice.9 |
| | Sidney was active in many organizations during his years in New Mexico including various branches of the Masonic Orders. He also served as Captain of the Clayton Cavalry Company, part of the state National Guard. And he organized the first health office in Union County and served as its health officer.7 |
