Birth1884 William M. Erwin was born in 1884.2 
Marriagecirca 1907 He married Allice Gertrude Ryburn, daughter of John Patrick Sharp Ryburn and Caroline Agnes Crumley, circa 1907.3 
Cens-191018 Apr 1910 William and Allice were enumerated a few years after their marriage living in Erwin, Tennessee, where Allice was raised. William was employed as a merchant in a dry goods store.3 
  Allice's family had been active merchants in the town since it was first laid off in the 1870s. 
Cens-192013 Jan 1920  By 1920 Allice and William's family included two daughters, Mildred and Ruth, as well as a son Harry.4 
  Another son, William, born in 1914, had died in a fire in 1918. 
Death1967 William died in 1967.2 
Burial He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Unicoi County, Tennessee.2 
  William's great grandson remembers him affectionately as "Grandaddy Bill" and says he liked to play the fiddle.5
