Will27 Jul 1805 John wrote his will on 27 Jul 1805 in Washington County, Virginia. He left his daughter Jinny Duncan £60, Capt. William Beattie a saddle and bridle, John Beattie, son of William, a watch, Isabella Clark, wife of James Clark, £5 to buy a gown, James Clark a grey coat and jacket, James Clark, son of James, a broadcloth jacket, Robert Beatie a linen shirt, Rosannah Stewart silver shoe buckles, and John ______ a shirt with buttons and one pair York stockings. The rest of John's wearing apparel except a great coat he left to to Mary Beattie, wife of William, and asked her to distribute them as she saw fit. John named William Beattie and John Stewart as his executors.1

It is not known to me what relationship, if any, existed between John Harris and the individuals he left his personal belongings to.
