Birth6 Dec 1852 Samuel Joseph McCall Hutton was born on 6 Dec 1852 in Glade Spring, Washington County, Virginia.4 
Cens-18707 Oct 1870  Samuel grew up in Washington County where he lived until he was at least 18 years old.5 
Marriage He married Savannah Laura Bettis.1 
Cens-188018 Jun 1880  Joseph and Savannah settled in Tennessee, where they were enumerated in James County in the summer of 1880 with their infant daughter Unie. Joseph was a farmer.6 
Cens-19004 Jun 1900  Three additional children were born during the 1880s but at some point Savannah died. By June 1900 Samuel was farming in Hamilton County, Tennessee. His household included his three sons, Charles, Grover and Walter.7 
Death16 Jan 1915 Samuel died from acute indigestion on 16 Jan 1915 at Hixon in Hamilton County.4 
Burial He was buried at Smith Cemetery in Hixon, Tennessee.8

Kathy Edwards posted a nice biography and photo of her grandfather Grover Cleveland Hutton on his Find A Grave Memorial Page (memorial #96194942). Grover was buried at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hamilton Co., TN.
